The International Baccalaureate® (IB) is a non-profit educational foundation, motivated by its mission, focused on the student.

IST has been an IB World School since January 2000 when it was authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

IB Mission Statement

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
 

To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.
 

These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

IB Primary Years Programme

The International School of Toulouse is an IB candidate school* for the Primary Years Programme.

 

“This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy – a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that the International School of Toulouse believes is important for our students.

 

*Only schools authorized by the IB Organisation can offer any of its three academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) or the Diploma Programme (and in addition the IB Career-related Certificate). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.

IB Diploma Programme

The IB Diploma programme develops the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. The IB Diploma programme has proven to successfully prepare the international student body of The International School of Toulouse for their future studies.
